Hope the dealer don't rip you a new one.. Should have asked here first before relying on a old ass c3g thread
Man, wish I did ask here before, going to be heading to the dealer tomorrow.

Got another problem, the white piece that goes on the shift lever comes off when I try to shift. How do I fix this?

That white thing sits on a pin check to see if the pin is still on the arm or if the arm is bent and it's just falling off..

Then I guess the arm is bent cause it still has the pin but when I set the white piece on there it falls off when I shift it.

It's supposed to be tight in the grove of the shaft above it

Okay so I was finally going to take the Galant home but it doesn't start! It cranks but it won't stay on. Anybody know why this is happening?

EDIT: I forgot to mention when I try starting it, it makes a weird noise and afterwards it smells funny, like something burnt.

Update: my uncle and I jump started the car, it turned on. It makes a grinding noise when it's in neutral, when I push the clutch pedal in it stops. Sometimes the car turns on but not all the times. The smell is still there. What could it be?

    clutch could be dragging.
also did you short out the right pins on the auto harness? double check the wiring.
    also check fluid level.

I double checked the wiring and it's good, all fluids are good too.
