    Plasti-Dipped the 8G

Since my paint looked horrible after the accident, I decided to try something new that I haven't seen anyone do around here.

If you aren't familiar with PlastiDip, google it. Its an amazing product. It is super easy to shoot, very forgiving when it comes to runs in the paint, and has minimal overspray. The best part about it - when you want to get rid of it, you just peel it off!

    Here are the pics...

I absolutely love how it came out. It has a very weird flat black finish, but is slightly glossy at the right angle.

After today, I am definitely thinking about painting the GenCoupe. :)

If you post stupid and incorrect information, you will get red nuggets.

Wow, very nice. I really wanna do the red plastidip now, it's not all the way flat, it's like a satin/semi-gloss finish which I think is just dope! Good job bro!

I may do this before MOD and paint a really wild color on top, I need to plasti-dip my fiber glass trunk lid anyway, color might as well match with the rest of the car

But they do have some crazy colors by the gallons-blaze orange and blue, yellow, purple, hot pink, green, gunmetal look here: https://www.dipyourcar.com/product.p...&cat=14&page=1

On the cans only the basic white, black, red, and orange and blue.

And you can't really apply plasti dip and then use regular paint on top, the plasti dip reacts with the paint and it would look horrible.

Flat black G looks great ;)

Thank you sir! And thanks for your post. Everything you said is right on. There are some people that are mixing the different colors to make their own. Some of the cars out there look so sick!
