AC delete belt question.

what belt did u guys to replace the original belt. I figured I'd ask since there are few of u who did it and might have a part number laying around or maybe a make and model of the car it came off.

Any goodyear or felpro part numbers? Even gates. Dont trust duralast for turbo applications. Lol

And this belt would allow me to run everything minus the ac compressor itself right, so i can literally unbolt this compressor and it would work fine?

^ yes. The ac and power steering uses the same belt. So u need this shorter belt for the power steering.

i just went to napa and asedk for 2001 galant 2.4 p/w steering belt without a/c. any autopart store should have it in their database, no need to look for a part number just tell him what you need.

Advance auto parts don't list it in their computer

give the dealer a try or do you have a napa? if not you could probaly order it from the website.

I cross referenced the AC delco part number and advance came up with a matching dayco belt. I ordered that for now and I will get a better belt down the road.

ok i didnt know that, well for my search i put in:

2001 galant

then typed in "belts" in the search box

then brought me to another page where there are three catagorie choices which are as follows

a/c systems
belts and hoses
engine parts and gaskets

i clicked on belts hoses

it brought me to the next page and filtered one last time by clicking 2.4L

and then its the fourth item down, its says
IMPORTANT INFO: w/out air conditioning
