    Noob question. Help please

Other than checking the engine, how else can you check if your 8g is a VR4 variant?
    Thanks in advance.

Look at the back of your car, does it say VR4 on it
question: do you live in the US?
if yes, then you likely don't have a VR4 in any case

Nope. I'm from PH so VR4s are a lot. My dad said something about the vr4 having the antenna somewhere in front specifically above the driver's door while the v6 variant had its antenna on the left side but near the trunk area. Can anyone confirm this?

Huh? Why would you check you antenna to see if you have a VR4 or not, is the 6A13TT not enough? AWD not enough? AYC not enough? I'm confused, was the car converted or something?

Edit: Here is a picture of the underhood tag with the chassis number of an authentic 8G VR-4. If your chassis code (the first four digits) is EC5A, then you're in a VR-4; if not, then it's questionable, unless you have EC5W, which is the Legnum (wagon) version of the VR-4. US 8G's are EA8A.
