    F4A42-2 Performance Transsmsion Kits?

Been searching the internet and forum this morning for this information. I can find the stock rebuild kits all day, but I can not find any performance rebuild kits for the F4A42-2 automatic transmission. Not a single one. I have found a company who will build it for you, but that is no fun (and its expensive. This is something I can do in my garage in a weekend)

I just want some slightly stronger internals, maybe harder shifts.

If there are not any performance kits out there, has anybody tried enlarging the feed holes for more direct shifts?

Also - I followed a step by step video guide when I recently rebuilt my 700r4 on my truck. Anybody have a video tutorial for this one? I can't find it either.

Coming back to this project since I have more time to do it now. I have a 5 speed swap sitting in my garage but the wife doesn't want me to do it. =( but I would at least like to rebuild my auto with a little more uummpphh . Anybody know of any place to get a performance rebuild kit?

No performance kits for our stock auto tranny available. At least none that I know off.

Yea I found those already built ones as well. I'm not paying $2,300 for any transmission. I emailed them to see if they could just supply the kits. I'll post what I find here.

If I can't find a damn kit I will just rebuilt the 5 speed and tell the wife the galant is getting a stick shift and nothing she can do about it

well i think that if you show your wife the cost of that automatic she might just let you lol. Thats how I get my way lol. so when I get to put in my 5 speed I am going to tell her if I get another automatic its going to cost me that much but its cheaper with the 5 speed lol got her eating out of my hands after that lol.
