probably 225 or 215/40/R18

yeah, 225/40 or 215/40 because they are 8" wide.
if you go 225/45 they rub so don't go thicker than 40 unless you are stiffening up the suspension like i had to.

lets break it down....

the first number...in this case the 225 or 215:

This represents the width of the tire in millimeters.

The second number in this case its the '45':

This represents the height of the sidewall, in this case the sidewall height is 45% of the tread width of the tire. On in millimeters it would be 101.25mm

As for the difference between a 225 and a 215 tire?

a 225 is wider.

yeah, the second number is the ratio to the width. you rarely see 35 untill you hit viper tires, wich are like 14 inches wide the back on some of the GTS and ACR models. definatly get 40%, the sidewall is extremely stiff (better handling and less body roll) and it looks a lot better.
