    Isaurio's Turbo Built "4G64T" Heavy pics

    It’s been a long time waiting, collecting parts, research, DECISIONS, DECISIONS. But I took the first step and is no turning back now.

    Project:
    4G64 SOHC Turbo

    Short block:
    4G64 block 0.024 over
    Wiseco 1400HD Forged Pistons 87MM
    Manley H-Beam with ARP-2000 Rods
    OEM 100mm crank, micro polish, coated and balance 10K RPM by ACE Crankshaft
    ARP rods bolts
    ARP main bolts
    ACL STD main tri-metal bearings
    Clevite STD 77 Rod tri-metal bearings
    STM balance shaft elimination kit
    OEM- Water-oil pumps, timing belt, pulleys, harmonic balancer, gaskets, bolts etc.
    OEM EVO 8 oil filter housing with evo bolts *Galant bolts don’t work*
    OEM oil filter after breaking –
    2 WIX 57092 oil filter. 1st for 20 miles, 2nd for the rest 980 miles.
    OEM Evo 8 Oil Pan and oil pickup tube
    Redline assembly lube and amsoil assembly lube
    AMSOIL break in oil

    HEAD:
    OEM SOHC head cleaned, hot tank, resurface for multi-layer gasket
    COSMETIC head 87mm gasket.
    OEM new lifter
    New seals
    RPW stage 3 turbo cam, 272 "0.300" lift intake 272 exhaust "0.300" lobe centre line "112 deg" HKS turbo rally.
    RPW upgraded springs
    NGK spark plug gapped by AR Design
    EVO 8 coil packs
    MAGNECOR spark plug wires KV85 8.5mm

    Transmission:
    3G 5 speed eclipse Transmission
    Fresh rebuilt, new seals, all synchros 1-5th replaced.
    Quaife LSD *Thanks Fetal1*
    Clutch Masters 05048-HDC6 FX400 Street/Strip Stage 4 Kit 6 puck clutch
    AMSOIL Synthetic Manual Gear Lube 75W-90
    New axles
    New MOOG front wheel hubs

    Fuel System:
    Outlander mani
    6g72 diamante TB with mil.spec seals and rebuilt by "SilverTune"
    Evo 8 AMS fuel rail with pressure gauge
    Evo 8 FIC 750cc injector
    aeromotive fuel pressure regulator

    Good stuff guys! Can't wait to see it in person! I was just wondering... Is there a reason why the evo ecu is not used?

    Thats right. No evo ecu need it. Boost control will bee use external with tru-boost controller. Stock rom will do the calculation for 100+ loads. The calculation responce should be faster since the ECU dont have to calculate the turbo portion tables.

    nice build, how much do you have left? just a little tip though on your quaife, since you have the tranny out of the car test your axles out. people have had problems with the older versions including myself, what happens is the axles dont lock and when you fill with gear oil it all leaks out. it will look and feel
    like there locked in but if you give one a good pull and it comes out then you know you have a problem. its usully just one side.

    Not much left. just a few more parts like ss lines. But i need to measure when the engine is inside. Thanks for the advice, we will double check the axles.

    Looks real good.

    Did you rebuild that throttle body? If not it's going to leak like crazy.

    No silvertune it hasn't been rebuilt it actually a pretty clean t/b once we get it running ill double check it under boost.

    Tb is not rebuilt like dion said. But i wont bee on hi boost for the first 1000 miles. So it should be all good. I will check after the break-in.

    You'll want to, I haven't come across one that hasn't leaked on anything above atmospheric, I've lost count on how many I've done now. If you find yourself needing any assistance with it though let me know. Good luck! I expect you'll make some pretty good output.

    Mil-spec shaft seals ftmfw! When you're ready to turn the boost up they will come in handy. Looks good though. Can't wait to see what it puts down.
