Honda Coilovers for 8th Gen

I was talkin to a guy in my car club and he said that I should be able to use Honda coilovers(CHEAPER then Mitsu) on my 8th gen his reasoning was that that they were both japanese cars... Is it possible? what model and year honda coilovers should I get?

Sounds like someone was talking out of his ass. The suspension on the 8g and any Honda is way too different to even make that assumption.

NO.... it wont work,
the cars a completely different and there's no point in it, your better off getting suspension that is for our cars, there's a handful of options your can do/use, do some research and look at some of the members builds,

The last I checked coilover sleeves are made universal maybe that's what he was talking about. However, The 8th gen civics uses similar setup (in design terms) like the 8g Galant (F: MacPhearson R: Muilti-link). Just because it's setup similar doesn't means they are closely identical. I agree with Oak that the mechanic was talking up his ass......

Even if they are using the same coilovers on both cars the weight on those cars are huge difference. I won't use it on my 8G.
