No Start now after Alt Replacement

Ok,, So per this thread, https://www.thegalantcenter.org/show...l=1#post773757

I replaced my alt, it worked for like..Half the day, then it stopped starting..

I had to replace the valve cover gasket so I opened it up to find barely any oil within... In the past 2 drives i've used atleast 9 quarts of oil, and it never even seemed to reach the top.. I just put another 4 quarts and it unlike the 1st couple times,,it doesn't start..

    Here's the little number it's doing.. http://s13.beta.photobucket.com/user...60f70.mp4.html
sry bout the upside down camera

Could it be the alt belt of came loose? There's no oil or any sort of fluid leaking under it.. I razored away at any left over gasket from the previous one.. I keep thinking some how maybe the Injectors are clogged? Any ideas or suggestions would be helpful.. As soon as I get it started I'm running it to the shop for an oil change cuz I've been putting the cheap valero oil into it for a quick filler..

You've put 9 quarts of oil into your engine over the last two drives?

Where are you putting the oil in? Are you absolutely sure you are checking the correct dipstick? 9 quarts with no visible leaks is impossible.

If you post stupid and incorrect information, you will get red nuggets.

Thanx way much for the fast reply..That's what baffles me.. The oil dipstick is the only one closest to the passenger side label ENGINE.. The only leak I can imagine is a slow leaking that speeds up when the engine is spinning and it's spilling on the road.. but when I was able to get it started after the first failure, I watched under the car to see if anything was coming out and there's nothing..

    Here's after wiping it clean

    and here's after a dip

Not the best quality but it most def does get on the stick..

There shouldn't be ANY oil above that second mark!!! Your engine is so overfilled with oil, no wonder it won't start. Drain all your oil ASAP.

Well,,It seems to be completely out..Dipstick is reading low..Tried to a quick crank but it seems my battery can't take much more.,, Haf to goto PO for unrelated matters, then I'll be back to diagnose further.. Thanks again guise

    lol furreall..
while i was chilling at the PO's office, I came across reading about frothy oil,, blown seals & flooded spark plugs...

    So.. I came across this..

My poor 1 week old iridiums :< Ugh I know it'd be best to replace but is there anyway I can salvage them?

Sure you can salvage them. Use some brakes parts cleaner on them or carburetor cleaner. Just make sure to blow them out with some air pressure before you install them back in.

EDIT: Found a link to a how to =)

Don't even bother with those iridiums plugs, the 4g64 runs best on NGK-R platinums

I grabbed some cheap autolites installed and still same thing.. Seems like it stops right before a spark happens..

    Per this picture

Cylinder 4's spark plug seems to be getting covered in alot of gas.. Almost close to dripping wet with it.. I'm guessing a injector seal might of gone? With how wet the plug is, I would have to believe it's dousing the spark... New Plugs, New Oil, New Valve Gasket, Spark boots and the 2 coilpacks are no more then 2-3 months old... I'm at a lose other then the fuel rail..

**edit ~ It's about as wet as the picture of the spark plug i put up covered in oil.. but in gas**

no, if you had spark happening on cylinder 4, you would know it lol. Something is still not right and don't use autolites (ford plug) lol.

AktionCat - By the powers granted to me by the Galant Gods, you are hereby not allowed to work on your car without consulting the general population of TGC.

There are a ton of people here that are willing and able to help, you just need to post and ask.

I am going to throw this out there... before you put any new parts into this car, do a compression test. If you saw foam, that is a big sign that the engine was overfilled - other than looking at the dip stick picture you posted. Poor hardworking crankshaft.

My guess is that you really damaged the seals and that the engine is toast. Its not an injector seal. You had over 10 quarts of oil in your engine that only calls for a small amount over 4 quarts.

If you post stupid and incorrect information, you will get red nuggets.

There was no foam,, sorry i made an edit,, only white smoke (burning oil?), Upon draining the oil there looked to be an amount of oil passenger side, corner of the oil pan. I can hope all "12" quartz didn't squeeze itself into the engine, but as physics would have it, it would have to go somewhere..

I do ask here too.. Place became a deadzone when it went around the .net,,
It's how I got my headers in, the Hella's in and couple interior design ideas.

This time it was 1am and middle of a highway with a mile walk to the exit to get to the next gas station..

If you still have not been able to start, try removing all sparkplugs and cranking over several times this will push a majority of the oil in the combustion chambers out if it made it there. May be a good idea to do a compression test as well its possible to bend 1 or more valves trying to compress and burn excessive oil

Thanx for the input, it's storing until possibly tomorrow morning when I can do this,
