Need help opening hood through front grill

Guys,

I need information on how to open my hood (99 Galant) through the front grill. I have an aftermarket grill and I can see the latch but can't get it to open. Any help on this matter is highly appreciated.

BTW, I've locked my keys in the car and have a dead battery. To make it worse, all my door handles are shaved.

you could posibly use a flathead skrew driver to unpin the grill. or break the pins and buy new ones when u get it open

Thanks. However, removing the grill is not the isssue....I can't seem to figure out how to release the latch.

the hood locks twice. you got to pull the cable first and then use the latch.

had this happen to a friends maxima (cable broke) we remover the grill then used a flat head to pry were the cable pulls the latch, shazam it opened. good luck

He did say his battery was dead... We put a remote manual override in my buddies Civic when we shaved his.
