TIRE question? 225/45/18

I did my search i know the reccomended size for the 8g galant is 225/40/18 or 215/45/18...my ride has a mild drop im currently running on 215/40/18 and those 40's are too low for me and since 215/45/18 are not common and a bit pricey i was able to get a deal on some 225/45/18 tires... Will that give any problems... anyone ever run on that size before? with a mild drop.... THANKS

You'll rub.

225/40 is cheaps.

<---- is on 235/40's, on coils only rolled rear fenders. No rub. Bout 145-185 for decent grip.

Stick to 225/40 if money is object. 45's too tall

I'm dropped 2" and running 225/40/18, no mods to fenders, car rides nice and speedo is more accurate than it is with the factory 15s.
