    PLEASE HELP! gear shifter

    I have an 01 galant es 4cylinder 2.4L automatic. I HATE the stock gear shifter in it, can I change it? Ive been searching online for hours and only find stuff about manual tranny galants. If I can change it can someone point me in the right direction by which ones will actually fit. I think since mines auto id need a button on a new gear shifter, correct me if im wrong...thanks!

    I saw "PLEASE HELP!" and thought it was an emergency. What do you not like about it? The big black handle/knob or the whole assembly? The handle/knob just go to autozone or advanced auto parts and get something ricey. If you don't like the whole assembly then man up and 5 speed that bish.

    I've seen a 7G and an MDX (Acura) shifter be use as a replacement for the stocker, however those members had creativity on their side which most lack nowadays.

    i have a JDM A/T shifter knob i would be im looking to get rid of but i dont know if it fits tho
    can anyone chime in on if it fits or not?

    I just hate the stock shifter itself. And most autoparts stores only carry manual shift knobs

    Let me chime in again... I also had this mod done on my black 8g. Not hard at all. I bought a levoc off ebay. There it a tut on here somewhere on how to do this. Its what I used when I did mine.

    I got mine off eBay just searched automatic shifter knobs and bought the one I liked and put it on myself. I would of gave u mine but when I did my 5 speed swap I didn't need it no more and left in the eclipse I used to do the swap when I sold it
