    Throttle is sticking...

Trying to figure out why my throttle is sticking around 1500 rpms. I can hit the gas pedal and it will go back to normal. I'm getting a tps code but before I replace it I wanted to see if anyone has ever seen this problem before. I was thinking iacv. Would that cause it?

Our throttle bodies are drive by cable, if they're sticking either the cable is kinked, seized or a piece of carpet has migrated into the gas pedal stop. I've dealt with all three issues on multiple occasions so you'll want to check them all out.

Make sure you use an OBDII scanner when you install the new TPS to calibrate it correctly.

Another issue that can cause it is if someone messed with the throttle plate screws and took it out of alignment, which will cause sticking.
