Need some fast help ( ignition )

Ok my wife left keys in car over night and somebody stole our GPS and keys. ( been having starting issues, guess that's why it's not gone) so now we have no keys or remote and we're worried they my come back and break into it again.

    What are my best options?

I can't get the ignition cylinder out cause I don't have the key right?

If I get another key made, the person with the old key can get into my car anytime right?

So help me please what at do?

Btw, I took battery out and dash and ignition switch out so they can't take it. I disconnected the shift lever from transmission also.

    Thanks

You can get an alarm installed with starter kill.

Had the locksmith stop by today and rob me. He had 2 keys made up from my vin no.
And he couldn't program the keys!

He said his computer said bad ECM?
I think the immobilizer is in lock mode, and his programming tool can't reset it. So it's getting towed to the dealers.

Wife wrote a check for $170 for the locksmith. I think I should stop payment.

Anyway.... What do you guys think, will the dealer get this thing running or is the ecu bad?

It was fine before all this.

Ecu is not bad. The immobilizer is preventing the car from starting. He couldn't do his job so I wouldn't have paid. Especially after the car is now not starting.

Ok locksmith owner called and said he's sending check back. He felt it was wrong to take the money when the car still don't start.

Got it towed to dealer, had to order a new key ($55.00) and & $55.00 for the reprogramming.

    Cars back!

I'll be checking with the dealer from now on.

Keep track of the honest lock smith. The dealer in your area sounds better than the ones in Phoenix Arizona.

I never bothered to learn it, but there is a way to reprogram the key and immobilizer without the scan tool. Sounds like you are taken care of though, except for the fact that someone is now running around with a key to your car....
