Very HIGH RPMs on start. Why???????

Please assist, HELP, if you can. I've just installed a 6G74 Diamante upper intake manifold on my 8G V6 6G72. Everything appears to be hooked up correctly.

But big problem:
When I start the car the RPMs surge very high - from 1k all the way up the dial 5k, 6k etc.. I naturally turn it off before it explodes (LOL).

1) I have not noticed any vacuum leaks
2) TPS is new
3) IAC seems fine

I very confused. Where should I start?

I am older (retired) person so please help and be kind to me.
If your wondering why someone old is doing this kind of stuff, it is because I am also disabled and it takes my mind of my ailments. How ever it would really make me feel better if I can solve this.
