    Version 2.0 CHICAGO_ONE's Build

Installed along with new gaskets, new spark plugs from Mitsubishi and a pcv grommet bc I accidentally ripped the old one.

Now I see how nasty the rest of the bay is. lol

    Version 2.0 CHICAGO_ONE's Build

Not much to update, but I have been a little busy with small projects:

Made these for a member here

Inner/outer tie rods, rotors/pads, gloss black calipers, passenger side axle, raised the rear CO's and started the rear disc swap. Postponed due to a stuck hardline.

Cleaned up the engine bay and detailed the car

Lookin good..looking at your car reminded me of a vr4 I saw in a feature before http://garagedusty.com/2010/03/18/ca...es-galant-vr4/ obviously there are some differences but still puts me in mind of it.

Hell yeah man! Really makes me wish i could go ahead and replace the rad support in my car. But since i cant weld it would have to go into a shop and im sure that will be costly. I too love that front bumper and think its the second best option for our car. You are actually motivating me to get mine back on track.
Currently on my 3rd 8G... Not giving up this time!

    Thanks!
Honestly, a lot of this wouldn't have happened without the help, motivation and support from good friends (especially Jigz, thanks bro).
When times are tough, just step back and try to focus on what counts. I probably would have scrapped this after the crash and have been tempted So Many times now that I'm going through a costly divorce.
I just want this car to be clean and solid without cutting too many corners.

Although updates are coming out elsewhere, I wanted to add to my thread.
Painted the front bumper with spray cans from paintscratch.com.
I was really worried when I finished spraying Bc it looked really grey (bad lighting in the garage)
Overall I'm pretty happy with it. The car will get a full prep and repaint down the road, but this is a solid match and keeps me happy for now.
I'm sure higher res pics will come soon

    Compared to my original mirror

Car is coming along nicely! How much paint did you have to use?

  14. #34
    Thanks guys!

I used just under 3 cans of color, 2 of catalyzed clear coat, 1 of adhesion promoter and I think 1.5-2 of primer.

I like the changes and nice pictures of some nice 8gs. Especially the last, looks like a brochure.
