Heat sucks / Temp too low?

So I have a InJen Short Ram on the 99 galant,
my temp gauge if i idle for a while will get to half, but if I drive it shoots down to about 1/3 or below most of the time,
is that the short ram pulling in cool air from outside into the engine bay because its winter and has been around 30-32'f?

My heat also sucks... Not sure what thats about. Related?

Check the car for coolant leaks both underneath the vehicle, and inside the cabin near the passenger floor.

this would cause my heat to go back down towards the C?
The car gets too cold and the temp gauge drops down to the colder end when driving.

    Ill check though.

Check your thermostat , possibly stuck open. T-stat opens when the coolant reaches temperature for it to open. 180° to 195° I believe( correct me if Im wrong) .

I think you have a problem with your thermostat, they're cheap enough on amazon to just pick one up. As for your heat, I had this problem actually this past week and I put some flush in there and drove it around for a day or two and now shes pumping out some heat again

This is the thermostat I got and it works as far as I know.
