Hey CHICAGO, just wanna make sure you meant they will fit on my 8G not that I will need low profile tires in order for them to fit.
Based on what you said you wanted, I would say thats a perfect buy... just my opinion though. When I had my 97 Taurus, I paid $350 for 17" oem Ford rims and the tires weren't as nice as those. Maybe try offering them $300 and see if they will meet you in the middle around $350.

Should be fine as long as you're not slammed. My tires are 225/40/18. Probably smaller than what those have. I'm maxed out on BC coilovers in the front and only rub at full lock

Awesome! I'm still running stock suspension for now so I should be good.

Long story short.. I got them for $350, little bit of curb rash but fixable, and they don't fit.

Not sure what I'm going to do, but what I do know is my God they look a million times better than what I have on the car now! I need to get them to work haha

Do they have the correct size tire??
Most likely due to tire size. The 4Gs had a wider and the taller tire than the 3G/8G
I thought they did but I guess the tires are much larger than I thought. Do you think some spacers would be able to give me a little bit more clearance? It doesn't look like i need much more.

4G/9G 18" tire size was 235/45R18, WAYYYY too big for the 3G/8G.
That said, 225/40R18s are relatively cheap compared to most other 18" sizes. Techno, you should be able to either score a decent set from ebay/craigslist or even from Discount Tire (or whomever you may have in your area).
You mean something like this?

Would it be worth getting brand new tires for the rims though? They already have good tires on them, that's why I was leaning more towards spacers. I was looking at 5X114.3 spacers last night and it said it wouldn't fit my car? That is the correct pattern isn't it?

You are masking the problem. See if theres a mom and pop tire shop that will credit you a trade for yours and you pay the the difference. Otherwise put new tires on the wheels and sell the big ones on Craigslist.
Thats a good idea! Ill look into that, thanks

Budget is kinda my problem, if anything I could get spacers to start with and then save for tires again. I'll see if I can find anything like oakrdrs suggested and go from there.

I did some calling around and found a shop that said they might be interested in the tires, I hope that works and then I will just go with the new tires. Thanks guys!
