    Sonata Head Combustion Chamber Volume

i know years ago this information surfaced with it being 56cc. recently one fellow galant owner measured his sonata head to confirm what his machinist told him and came up with 43cc.

i decided to measure mine since its sitting on the stand to make sure i know what compression i will get when i swap the head.

i used a 10ml syringe (1ml = 1cc) cuz thats all i have available to me at this time. i came up with 45cc exactly. with a tiny bubble left behind under the plexiglass. also measured it without the plexiglass just for confirmation.

i only measured one chamber but i will be confirming the other 3 this weekend.

Good to know and thanks for your research!. Also do you know the SOHC cc by any chance?

Only sonata f5m42 swapped. N/A build in motion.

I had a spare head that my friend has now. If I can get there this weekend then I will cc it and take pics and document it.
