transponder ring problems

I think there's an issue with it because at times it cranks right up when I turn the key and other times it takes a couple of tries with nothing but a click. Any suggestions are welcome.

For the 8th gen, this is a common problem. It's the ignition switch that needs to be changed. It's not very expensive.

As tamim said it's not the transponder ring. The ignition switch.

Buy Oem. I have an aftermarket one and it's going bad already

It's most likely cheaper online.

I'll save $10 buying it online but will have to wait until next week to get it. For once the dealer isn't too bad.
