    Hmmm... 18x9.5 on 8g?

So my next change on my 8g would be different wheels for sure. Right now I have on 19x8.5 tenzos black with a red lip. I am trying to go with a different more aggressive look to complete the car. I found these wheels called Forgestar f14 super deep concave and the most realistic size for our 8g I can find is 18x9.5. I noticed the 19s look a little big so 18 would probably be a better way to go.

How do you guys feel about this? Would 9.5 even fit well on our cars? Any feed back would be great. I notice a lot of people use 19x8.5 or 18,17s.

Here's a nice pic of how it can somewhat sit. I'll be going with white brembo brakes behind the all black wheels.

I have 19x9.5 +29mm for the rear of my Galant. They sit almost perfect with 225/35R19 tires. The front with stick out a bit with 9.5" wide wheels.

    Is your car lowered?

That sounds good RedGalant2k1. I have JDM fender flares on the car so I like a little bit of a poke aggressive look. I'm also going to have to clear my brembos as well. I wish I knew more about off set specs because I have no clue

Blue8g yes I am lowered on D2 coil overs.

As a side note, if you have fender flares, if you are willing to cut and weld, you 'could' run a 10.5 rear.

I trimmed the fender flares a little already for some extra clearance. I'm trying to go 18x9.5 all around because in the near future AWD swap coming.

What's your guys opinion on Cosmis XT206-R wheels? I love the all black ones. I just want to make sure they are good wheels. It's between them and the super deep concave Forgestar f14

it won't even work with fender flares. I tried. Its to far. in order to fit a 10.5 rear, without any spacers, you would need a +5 offset in the rear, and at that point in time the rim surface is 2.75 inches out, forget it if you want to run a meaty tire lol. I have 18x10.5 +15 with a 17mm spacer in the front, and a 10mm spacer in the rear to clear the inner workings.

Well, we all know I'm not running meaty tires :)

19x10.5 or 18x10.5 with 235s should work very well :)

    Galanan03 your thread is inspiring!

Makes me want to try some 19x9.5 or 10.5!

    Here is a few pictures when I fit a 19x10 +25mm with a 235/35R19 BFG KDW2.

On the inside, the tires/wheels were almost literally on the rear knuckle, you would need a 3mm/5mm less offset.

Here are the options for Forgestar f14
    SUPER DEEP CONCAVE
    18" (for me)
    18×9.5 offsets from -25 to +23
    18×10 offsets from -19 to +30
    (Not realistic) for me
    18×11 offsets from -6 to +43
    18×12 offsets from +6 to +55

    19" (for me)
    19×9.5 offsets from -25 to +23
    19×10 offsets from -19 to +30
    (Not realistic) again
    19×11 offsets from -6 to +43
    19×12 offsets from +6 to +55

I feel like the 19s would be heavy and not what I'm looking for. But then again they are a nice size on the 8g.

What off set do you think would be realistic for fender flares and brembos? Looking at the (for me) options.

for the rear i did 10.5 +15 plus a 10mm spacer so I think that makes the rear effective offset to +5 just to clear the rear knuckle with 295/35 tires. Now with the front I did 10.5+15 plus a 17mm spacer TO KEEP MY inside scrub clearance the same as my 18x8 +30. so that put my effective front offest to -2.

sorry it might be hard to understand. So my front 18x8 +30 (old wheels) was flush with the fender flares with a 10mm spacer to clear the brembos. idk if that helps lol

I'm really going to have to understand this before I get wheels with sizes I'm not sure about.

What is your goal with the car? How do you intend to drive your vehicle? I'll be home later and i can give you a lot more insight into wheels, tires, and offset for your specific needs.

In the meantime, you can review my sticky post here: https://www.thegalantcenter.org/show...D-10-18-2011**

My goal is to have my wheels sit nice and aggressive with some poke. I want a nice size to grab and be good to go fast with nice aggressive tires with some stretch.

That would be great man. Greatly appreciated

Why do you want poke? And how low are you? Unless you're REALLY low...even flush won't look great.
