    windering if anybody can tell me why my car jumps into reverse... automatic

    2000 v6 automatic, when j put it in reverse and only reverse, it revs up and some what slams into gear. sometime worse them others but every other gear is fine. any ideas??

    could be a sticking reverse solenoid.

    Limp mode will do that.

    Any warning lights on?

    no there are no lights on and its worse after i have been driving it for a little, not bad when i first get in it.
