I'm not sure about that. There are threads here that cover that. I won't have that problem because I'm taking the ecu from the manual eclipse

Oh I know how to do it, I just don't want to do it twice. So instead of putting the new engine in the eclipse first to verify it's okay, I'm just swapping it into the galant.

Yeah I'll have to do it that way. It would've been easier for diagnostics to put the new engine in the eclipse, but oh well. I should have it all out tonight. I'll post updates

Just want to say I love that pic of prybar through windshield. Lurking on this swap. Keep going, you are doing well.

I accomplished what I intended to do today, which was to gut the eclipse and get everything I need out of it

Got to a good midway point today. I believe I have everything I need from the donor car. Tomorrow the galant begins its teardown.

Progress tonight with some signs of hope:
Did anyone know the spot for the clutch pedal is already there? I didn't.

    Started a small fire

The hydraulic engine table was being used, along with all the big tables that I could support the engine with. So I had to lift the car about a foot and hold the engine up with the engine hoist, unbolt everything, lower the assembly to the floor, and then lift the body up and off of it. Was only a little pain, sounds worse than it was
