back quarter glass window

How hard is it to remove the glass from one and what tools should i be bringing with me to the junk yard to take one out?

Long story short i was on my way to do some work in Chicago last night and stopped at a seedy motel for the night and some guys attempted to brake into my car. I heard them smash the glass so i was able to wake up and run outside since my car was in front of my room window. All they did was broke the window reached in to unlock the car and i made it outside in time. I went to a hardware store today and got some plexi glass and crudley cug it into place but it looks like crap and when i get home id like to replace it.
