4G93 throttling problem

My 4g93 1.8 engine continue accelerating for more than 30seconds after I stop throttling mostly while on motion, I just replace the engine. Please what could be wrong.

Throttle cable sticking? Check tension, also check the linkage on the t/b. Does spring back quickly when you move it manually. If nothing worked i would replace the t/b with the the old one just for the hell of it to see if that works. Im not familiar with gdi's so i hope this helps.
