I had Megans on my old 8G. I would say they dropped it a good amount, but in my experience changing only springs will make your ride a bit bouncy if you hit bumps, and it will wear out your shocks faster.

I did it on mine and I replaced the shocks/struts at the same time (1999 Galant).

If I had the money I would have went with coilovers instead.

^What he said. Lowering springs are a fantastic solution if you are looking to get lower for cheaper. If you want something that you would be more happy with then save for coilovers. I am running on just Eibach lowering springs and I have been impressive with how it actually handles the bumps. One of my buddies said they're the best lowering springs his ridden on. With that being said I will be getting coilovers for my next car, they're just hard to beat.. From what I've heard Megan is good stuff as well but I don't have any personal experience with them.
