    What's Transfer oil?

I was looking at online user manual of Mitsubishi galant, and it says to change transfer oil at 60,000 and 120,000 mile service. Any idea if it was by mistake, I tried googling it and only thing I cound find close to transfer oil is transfer case fluid which is used in 4WD cars.

So the thing is, the maintenance manual says I need to change Transfer oil every 60,000 miles, check every 30,000 miles and check rear axle oil every 30,000 miles. But the car doesn't have any rear differential to have oil in it. And doesn't have transfer case.

So only things needed to be changed to maintain car are power steering fluid, automatic transmission fluid, brake fluid and coolant.
