    Replacing front suspension

    Anyone know if there is any pre-assembled struts for 2000 galants? I've looked around quite a bit, i thought i found one but it turned out to be for an eclipse...surely they aren't interchangeable? I checked the Monroe site and KYB, but neither of them showed a complete strut for it.

    2000-2005 Eclipses use the same suspension.

    Yeah, the Eclipse and Galant suspensions are the same. You are looking for struts with the springs already on them? Why not get a spring compressor and take off the originals, or get lowering springs?

    4 cyl vs. V6?

    V6 springs are heavier duty but really it doesn't matter about the struts. If you have a V6 the 4 cylinder springs are a little drop for the front.

    @Blue3000GTguy
    Thank you very much for that information :)

    I have no experience with compressing springs and have heard its best not to in that case, also i don't want to use my old springs on the new struts either. By getting the struts with new springs already in place i can just get the work done as soon as the package gets here. As for lowering springs, i mainly use my vehicle to deliver pizza and lowering it would be very bad...lots of big holes in gravel driveways around here, or just uneven driveways where i almost scrape parts of my car as it is.

    Although the price difference is making it a more difficult decision. I can get all the parts to do both sides on the front for $190, while the already put together strut would be at least $140 for one side :(
