Ok guys so here are some pics of my 2003 Galant Es 2.4L.

Things I've Done So Far -

    - De emblemed except for triple diamond.
    - Painted triple diamond black
    - Painted trunk trim black
    - Added window visors ( Done yesterday )

Not much, but starting small because I don't have the biggest budget just yet

Got her about a month ago for 1k with what the guy said was a bad A/C Compressor and no Serpentine Belt, so I'm currently driving her with no power steering..the cars paint is sadly in really bad condition with scratches and a few dings, and the engine bay is pretty dirty and rusty..I didn't care about any of those things because something made me fall in love with this 8G! About 15 minutes into driving her home I fell in love with this Galant and I want to restore this car to its full potential and beauty!

Looks decent for a fresh start. Another easy mod for you to do would be to clear the corners of your headlights, if you want. I found the easiest way to do it was to use a paint can opening tool. Doesn't have any sharp edges.

Thanks bro, great idea. I'll try that out soon!

My custom black radio and shifter bezel..Need to redo the radio bezel cause it was my first time wrapping anything in vinyl and there is slight imperfections and then today I accidentally touched it with an ArmorAll wipe (Smh) and it looked like it had a huge greasy spot so I just went over the whole thing till I redo it, probably this Friday..next step is to do the door panels black.

If I can make a suggestion, use paint instead of vinyl. Prep properly and use satin clear coat after painting. I use krylon satin black and it turns out great.

Also, if you clear it properly the cleaning thing won't be an issue.

Not too shabby. I have silver trim in mine. I've painted my interior pieces as well, definitely clear coat over it.

I was actually thinking about using paint at first but I just liked the vinyl look and texture more..also does it have any kinda of smell for a long time after? This is my daily..and I don't mind riding around without a bezel for a day or two just don't want it to have a long lasting paint smell since I have two small children that ride with me often..but other than that thanks for the info on which paint to use cause I didn't know

It has been a very long time since I did mine. I don't think there was one, and I did my whole dash, all 4 door panels, and center console. I had everything out of the car to pain it though.

Again, it was probably 9 -10 years ago.

Nice, I'm gonna think about it..gonna try the vinyl once more on the radio bezel and if it comes out perfect I'll keep it if not I'm gonna go with painting it, honestly seems like way less of a hassle. I also want to do the part that lays over the window and lock controls just gotta figure out how to take that off without breaking anything.
