Cleaned up my foglights and headlights, also removed the orange piece from the turn signal.

I need to buff out this paint, and do the timing belt.

You should get a set of 16" sun & sound package wheels. They'd set that car off.

My set of those was like it had been dipped in acid! The clear coat on those wheels didn't hold up. Which is a shame because they're gorgeous.

I really like them but they're rare in good shape and if you want to make them nice again you have to spend more than a new set of bigger wheels.

    thank you!
That dent in the door really bothers me now haha.

There is a Galant (white) at my local yard that has cladding. I can go this weekend if you like and pull it for you. It should be about 30-40 dollars depending on the cashier.

It's not a big hurry for me, because I am after bigger things. I'm waiting to catch a gtz in the yard because I want to do the rear subframe swap and have the lighter rear end in Repo.

I think it might just be the control arms. I didn't know either until Mel was having a hard time finding some.

It's amazing how much a simple thing like clear corners can improve the face of the G. All it needs is a set of nice bulbs instead of the orange ones :)

Funny thing is, I think the EVO 8 Enkei's look great on just about anything but the EVO 8. The fact that its a six spoke like the original facelift Galant wheels also helps, I think that design was simply spot on. Whoever wants a 8gb set, I got two sets just sitting here btw.

I never had a non GTZ Galant, but my understanding is that the GTZ rear is basically the 3G GT rear. Not sure what would make it lighter?

  17. #57
Something about material differences. Like the rear on the non-gtz is steel versus the gtz being aluminum. I know they are lighter though.

Just randomly took this right now. The car is growing on me, even this front end. Which sucks because I ordered JDM headlights, grille and mirrors. So I'll be receiving those sometime in the next few weeks. Also have my friend stationed in Germany trying to find me some facelift tails.

So once I receive the headlights and grilles if anyone is interested, I'll be posting them for sale. Huge buyers remorse X(

So my friend found and pulled these at our local yard today. They all appear to be in decent shape, just need to be cleaned and polished. I already have the radio bezel and shift lever ones installed from a previous junk yard score, so I guess this shifter surround one is a spare. The radio bezel/trim was missing from this car at the yard today, if anyone is wondering why he didn't grab that.

Unfortunately he didn't grab the drivers side since it was really beat up. Just gotta wait for another GTZ to pop up, unless someone has a spare they care to sell me :)

I used to hate the 8Gb front end, than it quickly grew on me when I had the '02. Did you consider using the JDM headlights? With some loving it's possible to make it work with the usdm bumper.
