I understand that my 2000 Mitsubishi gallant with the 2.4 L four-cylinder is an interference motor. My question is, how many people get lucky when their timing belt breaks and is able to salvage the motor. I just finished the timing belt install with new water pump and all the Fixin‘s, Including crank position sensor and crank sensing plate. Everything runs perfectly.
