    2009 Mitsubishi Galant factory radio

I have a 2009 Mitsubishi Galant sport edition still using the factory radio. I had no issues with it until recently. Most of the stations are complete static. These are local stations and stations I always listened to. What would cause this to happen?

Sounds like the antennae. You can take the front plate surrounding the radio off, and then pull the radio out. Look and see if your antennae wire is loose.
To be honest with you. Go to Best Buy and get a new double din touchscreen. I have the same car, and I put in an Alpin ILX, and now I have apple, android, bluetooth, USB for charging or playing music or vids. But the backup camera was what really made me happy. $350 installed at Best Buy. You can find it cheaper on Crutchfield but you'll have to wire it up yourself, and buy alot of other parts. Great way to bring your galant into the future, and will solve your probs. :)
