I noticed my Galant to speed up real fast from 0-45, like in a few seconds - 3-4 seconds
after that it slowly climbs up to 60 :?

also, I have an automatic one, but does everyone gets like a thud sound when it changes gears?

mine gets to about 70 or so before backin off, andas for the gears changing, mine doesn't kick, but it has a rough time shifting and downshifting from 2 to 3 and 3 down to 2...

My tranny seems to be in pretty great shape. The thud sound you heard is probably the thud sound I head when my car changes from first to second gear if I give it a lot of gas.

Mine is slow from the start, then takes off. Shifts hard though.

But then, it is turbo and a Level10 tranny (which shifts hard anyways...)
