Has anyone else ever experienced poor reception with the stock stereo? I have a '99 GTZ with the cassette player and disc changer in the trunk, and recently, I often get very poor reception when listening to FM radio. Anyone with any suggestions, besides buy a new head unit?

you might also wanna check the connection at the back of the head unit, especially if u've been playing around back there. the antenna might not be connected or connected poorly

Nope, I just got mine tinted and didn't have any problems at all with the radio. Sounds like the tint shop might have screwed up your antennae wires in the glass.

Mine was perfect with the tint as well. No problems with reception, my car just had those moments where you'd come to a stop at a light or stop sign, and then static comes through and all you'd have to do is roll forward a little bit and suddenly, it's crystal clear again.

Yeah, I drive a 99 GTZ too and I got my car with it already tinted. I have noticed that on some station the reception sucks... I always thought it was from my tint too.
