nice, well my motor should be here in a month or so. My dad bought it me as a surprise for Graduation! It is out of a 1999 Evo VI GS.

    Specs:

    All aluminum construction. Transversally mounted.

In-line 4 cylinders model 4G63 Turbo. Bore: 85.03mm Stroke: 88mm, 1998.6 cm3 , water cooled. Compression ratio: 8.8 Maximum output 280PS @ 7000rpm, maximum torque: 38Kg/m @ 3000rpm. ECI-Multi fuel injection system. Water cooled, modified IHI turbocharger (titanium turbo wheel on the Evolution VI RS), max boost pressure: 1.2 bar. Water spray on intercooler and transmission radiator.

I think this is going to be a nice setup and due to the fact that im only paying for the install I am not going to mind to much. They are estimating it at around $3,500.00 to do everything and it should be in the shop for 3 weeks so they can have it running rite and do some testing. Im not going to be running 11's with just this but im estimating between high 13's mid 14's. Hopefully im rite I will keep the board posted with my progress and such.

Bro i did an 11sec pass, and damn near killed myself... Water and oil pressure went threw the roof, had monster over heating problems and this was with a turbo set-up that went un-tested for about a week... Good luck with the motor, i know it pretty you will get lots of power from it, hope you A/t holds up..

speaking of trannies, i kind of want to try and get one be4 hand but if not im gonna try and drive like a old man doing 35 in his lincoln on the parkway i know i cant do a evo or gsx trans because they are AWD but i was thinking maybe the eclipse gs-t tranny. or even a tiptronic off of a new GT. i know you have alot of power in your car so what did you do tranny wise? all and any info is apreciated.

I have an 2001 Eclipse GS 5-spd tranny w/ ACT 2100lbs cluth, Fidanza lightened Flywheel, and B&M short shifter.. YOu can use an AWD tranny like the GSX or Even the EVO 4 tranny but you will have to weld it to FWD and thats just a real waste of a good tranny is your not going AWD.. I say use the GS-T tranny, im pretty sure the bellhousing will match up correctly so it should fit pretty well..

thanks for the info. if a awd conversion was simple i would do it but since its a insane amount of work i wouldnt even consider doing a awd conversion. someone also told me i could use the sportronic at out of a vr4 galant but i would have to get it frmo overseas. im gonna look into that and if i can get one at a reasonable price i will do that but on the other hand i will do a gs-t trans if not.

Exactly, since its so much lighter than the stock it causes your car to rev faster and free up power, since it less weight to rotate.
