    Menipulating your ECU! Power Gains?

Are there any other Ways beside the so called "20hp" gain with a 3.3K ohm resistor... to menipulate your ECU to add gains, change combustion ratios to make ur engine faster?

first of all there wasn't a reason for this to be a sticky..a.t least not yet so i took it off. uhm a way to manipulate your ecu...how about a chip...that can do it. as for things like change the cumbustion ratio...not in a chip, thats engine internals.

Webhosting for less than $3 a month? put "pinoyesv6" as a promo code.

so what bout that thing with the resistor that dont work right... umm what else can u do like that that u can get from radio shack to mess with ur car to think other things to make it run faster...

Do a search some kind member already tested it and it did nothing. The only ECU mod for our cars is a jet chip upgrade and it cost a ton.

First of all, you will never gain 20HP from a resistor. It has been tested on a track by Chip to show no significant gains.

And as Pinoy says, there are no bolt-ons that will change that, including electronic devices. The combustion ratio is only affected by internal engine mods.

so basicly saying there is nothing you can do... maybe he just messsed up with the mod... y does it work for the probe...

No, it's not just Chip that has done this but others have also reported the same results.

could be an opinion or could be true but it's a different car. depending on the situation, more air could be a good thing or could be extremely dangerous if car doesn't know what to do with it. It ultimately affects the air/fuel ratio so depending on the car, it can help or not. Today's japanese cars are so sophisticated and the ECU's on our cars are so smart, they can change that correctly for you so on the fly. That's probably the biggest reason why it doesn't work for our car b/c we are already getting the optimum (or close to it) A/F ratio.

And that comment about affecting combustion compression ratio, is either mis-information or they are talking about something else.
