Chrome molding... stock or aftermarket?

Hey guys,

Do any of you have chrome molding around your windows stock? Wasn't sure if maybe the LS came with it or if it was an option, or if those of you that have it did it yourself.

Lemme know, I'm trying to switch my molding from the black to chrome.

i have it stock on my 7G, and almost 9 years later, it still looks reeaaaallyy good. its amazing how good the quality of body work is on our cars. i know the mini cooper chrome molding flakes off after 6 months, guess you get what you get, shitty ass car.

I have it on my 98 ES.

The 98 ES and LS came stock with the chrome trim and the black grill peices. 97's were a bit luckier

FYI..........
As far as I know, the 97's, (like my es) are ALL black.
the 98's are ALL silver, regardless of trim level.

yeah, i have the chrome molding and some people have actually asked me if I customized my ride with that. After taking a good look at it, I am impressed at the shine it has retained over the years. good job mitsu on the chrome moldings. Bling bling

I tried polishing my chrome molding and it turned black!!! I need to find some chrome paint and redo it because the polish stripped it!

I have a 96 es and the trim is black.
