It depends on what you get.

You will want a new cam gear also in case you want to advance/retard the timing of the new cam. My best advice is to get a stage 1 or similar cam if you don't have any other internal work done or else your car will run like shit.

Unorthodox Racing sells pulleys for the Spyder ('96-'99) that will fit our cars. Just hit up their website.

The spyder engine is the same engine as ours. Except they use DIS and have no distributer. I think RRE sells a new camshaft for the sohc I think Curt might have bought it, or thought about it, you could get adjustable cam gear but I dont know if it will do much for an sohc.

The pullys will fit, but I think your not suposed to use the crank one because it has no harmonic dampener on it and will bust ur engine up.

I emailed Unorthodox about this and this is what they said:

    Subject: Mistubishi 4G64 pulleys

I own a 1996 Mitsubishi Galant , which has the same engine (4G64) as the
'96-'99 Eclipse Spyder. I was told that I could not use the crankshaft
pulley because it lacked a "harmonic balancer". Could you please clarify
    this for me? Thanks.

Please read our FAQ section for the facts on our pulleys, what you've heard is an urban legend.

    Thanks for your interest,
    UR

He was talking about the unorthodox pully, but it's been confirmed that it does work and will not bust your engine. Get it, along with some 325cc injectors from a non-turbo 3000gt/stealth and a 1g 60mm throttle body and a massive cold air intake, along with an s-afc to fine tune everything, your car could easily shave a few seconds. Especially with header, 2.5" exhaust, and a better ignition system.

Just a heads up, but @ UR's website they have a specials section. Under this section they have Alt, P/S, and W/P pulleys for the 95-99 eclipse turbo. I crossreferenced the part numbers w/ those of the '96-'99 spyder and they are the same. Just wanted to let you know because they are going cheap, if I remember they were $40, $50, and $80 respectively.

    I wish I had some loot. :x

You were looking in the wrong place. Scroll down and look for the 95-99 Eclipse. They have the alt., P/S, and W/P pulleys on special.

    http://www.unorthodoxracing.com/specials.html

For the underdrive pulley look here:

    http://www.unorthodoxracing.com/mitsubishi...hi_eclipse.html

Scroll down until you find the section for the '96-'99 Eclipse Spyder.
