    Cruisin in low gears

Is it safe a driving around in the low gears? Because I have a custom cat-back and i like to drive in low gear because once you let off the gas at about 5 it roars down to a low RPM. It also sounds good in 2nd.

not great for the tranny but i do it too... sometimes i'll drop 2 2nd then to 1st coming to a stop. you can drop to 2nd anywhere under 80mph and 1st will engage (if u drop all the way back / down) at less than 25mph. btw, i have a AEM CAI, MPH pownpipe w/ hi-flow cat and straight through 2.75" THERMAL R&D exhaust, so u can imagine the sound after a downshift.

    :sup:

I do it too, hahaha. It will not harm the engine unless you constantly take it to and keep it at redline. Reelax is also correct about being a little harsh on the tranny if you keep revving in gear and use the tranny for braking often.

I Up shift and down shift ALL the time been doing it for bout 6-7 months now and i have 14000 miles on my car bought it bran new yea i love to drive i havent done no harm yet everything still how it should be and ohh man does it shift agressivly when i race start out in LOW let go Acc. sift 2nd FAST SLAM acc. YEa cherp tries shifting to 2nd yea i know its crazy but its so nice sport shifting it its like a manual tranny, ussualy u can engine break say u are in 3rd gear and at 70mph thats bout 3000 3500 rpm? u can shift it to 2nd... the rev limiter wont let it shift to 2nd till 3rd gear hits bout 1500rpm thats so u never fuck up your car usual just be in 3rd wait till bout 40-45 mph u can safly put in in 2nd gear wait till 2nd gear goes to bout 1500 rpm then shift to L gear (1st) witch is bout at 20-25 mph then u can safly switch to Nuetral fast and stop jus like that.....
