i found these, dunno if they'd work for your car. maybe u can look and see if its a possibility

    http://mario.germain.com/shifter.html
    http://www.geocities.com/chmwatson/FAQs/sh...iftendstop.html

Webhosting for less than $3 a month? put "pinoyesv6" as a promo code.

Us GVR4 guys have been using the cheap upgrade of the Eclipse shifters from 91-94.

If its possible, try to look for a shifter assembly from the same year your car is. There's a slight difference between an '89-90, '91-92' shifter respectively.

i removed the short shifter and went back to stock. i didnt like the extra effort, and that it made the lever too short, so shifting was not comfortable. also, because of the extra effort, if anyone does a lot of speed shifting, the short shifter can cause the gears to go past the bump stops, and you will be buying new shift forks soon. i believe that the short shifter actually adds to your shift time. i have also removed the symborski shifter bushings and gone back to stock, much nicer. however, this is all because i recently had my trans rebuilt by the master, and all the slop is gone, and it is smooth and quiet. so, now the shifting is also very smooth and quiet, now that it is back to stock.

i actually found a website that offer the short shifter for 6Gs,... and the "short-throw-shifter " has two models,.. one in stock gear-stick length and the other one (surprise..surprise...) is taller than stock version...
it reduces the "throw" of each gearshift by lengthening the bottom part of the shifter thus does not actually has anything to do with the upper part of the stick,... the upper part can be lengthened if you wanted them for easier reach

    the website is : www.rpw.com.au
yes, it's australian, and it specialise in Mitsu and Hyundai

    hope it's helpful

a short throw shifter actually shortens the 'throw' of the shift! it takes less movement to change gears, so you get an easy throw into gear, where if you can get it down can help you shift better!!!

so would cutting off like 3 inches of your shifter give you the same result?

yes and no,.. it will travel (a wee bit) shorter,.. but it will be harder for you to actually reach the shifter... many good short throw shifter are actually taller than the stock (easier to reach, but shorter travel between gears)
