    Camshafts

    1. is there any difference in 4g64 eclipse cams
    2. will they fit right
    3. does anybody no if muffler tech is still in buniness

    between them and what? a galant? A galant only has one cam, as there arent any DOHC new galants available.

    i mean, if i put an '02 eclpise cam in my galant will there be a difference. or are is the galant cam and eclpise cam the same.

    and will a 02 eclipse cam fit

    sorry i left that out i feel really stupid.

    uhhhh specify which years of 4g64 so you won't get trampled for not giving proper info

    00-03 galant and eclipse: same i-4 and v6 engine

    don't get confused, its all the same

    I suggested that to Nick based on my experience with Hondas...most car manufacturers will use the same block/head/etc. but will swap out different cams to change the attitude of the motor entirely. I assumed the eclipse cams would have higher lift due to their much sportier appeal.

    You know you'd only want a different cam if you were looking for

    1) timing performance (of the valves I mean)
    2) or better quality metal

    right?



    I think that company "something" 5 or group 10 or whatever that makes those bulletproof tranny's by taking a stock and upgrading the internals also makes new cams for our cars (3g maybe). I remember seeing something on their site about that when I was looking at their new transmission prices

    naw bro.....eclipse cams and galant cams are all the same, i've taken apart a 3g i4 engine before and compared it with my i4 with its valve train out of the engine.
