I am in the process of doing it now with the VR-4 6A13 TT. I'm not sure where I'm gonna find the rear drive train. They don't sell the 8g VR-4 in the US, so maybe I'll have to look towards Japan again. Does anyone know by chance if the Eclipse GSX or GS-T (which ever one(s) is AWD) has the rear drive axle that will work on a 7g Galant? And if so, would there be any problems using that along with the FWD of this VR-4?

I'm gonna need a lot of help on this project guys. I just received the engine the other day. This f***er is huge! It will definitely be a stretch to sqeeze it into the engine bay. I will definitely take plenty of pics for you all to see the process. Any information on this engine that you guys can give me will be helpful. Thanks for your support !

The hood is custom. The scoop came off of an '88 Z-28 Camaro. I cut the hood and molded the scoop on.

Does anyone know the answer to my :?: :?: :?: ?

from what i hear everyone talking about......the 7g galant and 2g rs/gs/gst/gsx eclipse's have the same xzact drive train....so everything should be interchangable.....i my self were compareing the undercarrage's of both cars......u would only have to cut a few minor things out and move the gas tank to the trunk.....meaning !!!fuel cell!!!....but i couldnt see y it couldnt be done......also....the vr-4 was a 4g63t i think......so if it was a 4g63t then the rear axel should work with the transfer case of the vr-4 galant

Sometimes i think it would just be cheaper to import the VR4 instead of trying to convert a US to one

If a 2g GS-t is hard and expensive to convert to awd, then a 7g galant will be even harder. THe car was designed for fwd. Just becuz the chasis is the same doesnt mean itll bolt up or neccesary fit..

the 2g gsx will bolt up it has been done, i've seen it with my own eyes....we already have a drive shaft tunnel, and the differntial spacing. the biggest thing you need to do is re-route your exhaust pipe, buying some half shafts, and a few other odd an ends.

i believe the fuel tank also has to be replaced to allow for a drive shaft.
