    (Manybrews) Replacing axle

I just got my new drivers side axle in and I was wondering how to put it on. I know basically how to put it on, the biggest question is why is there a c-clip on the axle shaft that goes into the tranny, how would you slide that c-clip on while it was in the tranny? Any help would be appreciated.

its a compressing / expanding clip.
meaning you just pop the old one out, and pop the new one in. with enough force it will snap right into and out of position.
