Are 17x8 wheels gonna give me problems?

I was plannin on runnin 225/45/17 tires on some 17x8 wheels.

anybody know if this will give me problems? i don't think it will but i wanna make sure...

i doubt you'll have any problems....but don't quote me. the typical 17" rim that people on here have is 17x7.5 as long as the offset isnt too outta wack, you'll be fine and you'll be huggin' the turns.

40 offset. seller doesn't have any in 17x7.5 only 17x8. i just wanna make sure they won't rub if i drop it or whatnot...

the offset's only throwin' you 2mm closer to inner wheelwell compared to stock. so what's 1/2" + 2mm? i don't feel like doing the math, but once you have that answer, that's how much room you'll have compared to stock.....or you can just wait for someone that has that size rim to post here. I still say you'll be fine.
