Spoiler ? for the GTZ peeps..

I'm getting ready to put a Gtz spoiler on this weekend.. I was wondering does the factory spoiler (pedestal) sit flush with the back of the trunk edge? or is it 1/2"-1" in from the back of the trunk...I kinda like it in 1/2" or so and the trailing edge of the spolier lined up with the trunk nicely.. How does the factory line up?

After installing one on my es, The key - is to get the back set of holes on the spoiler - to line up in an acessable spot under the rear trunk bump stops. That is the key to a sucsessful installation. You have about 1/3 of an inch to decide where to put it.

yeah I was looking under there and figured the front go under the bumper stops and the rear I have to drill then drill out lil bigger on inside trunk to get to bolt. The spoiler I have came with some set bolts to mark the lid before you drill so it should line up with the bumper stop etc.. The only thing Im worried about is the hole for the brake light wire. I should be able to measure for that after the mounting holes are done tho. Nothing worse than drilling into your car I got a 01 es and its green also.. thanks for the pics man
