3000 gt trans in an 8 g galant

I have an 8g galant v6 and have come across a manual trans from a 97 3000 GT VR4 I was wondering if this is compatible with my car, I am dying to get rid of the auto tranny.

try looking at the manual tranny from the 2000+ eclipse. teh engine rotation between the 3kgt and the galant is 180 degrees deifference so lets say you did get it to fit, you'd have one gear forward and like 5 gears in reverse lol. the drivetrain on the eclipse and the galant are really similar and would be an easier swap. especially since the eclispe and the galant use the same motor
