Mine cost me a Celica 2ZZ powered Corolla.

It was my aunt's car and she wanted to trade it in for a higlander hybrid SUV, well, my Corolla had a higher trade in value then the Galant. since the Corolla was a headache and my uncle was a dealer we swapped cars and I was back in the triple-diamond family.

My 2000 LS cost me $11000 a year and a half ago. Came with 60k miles, a port & polish, 20" Mondera chrome rims on Nitto NT555 tires, a pair of Audiovox monitors in the backseat, a portable DVD player, 420watt MPX amp and a pair of Kicker solobaric 12" subs in a ridiculously large custom enclosure (he made it for me at the last minute because I wanted to be able to use the trunk and his old box was filling it completely).

With the exception of a few gaskets that had never been changed, less then spectacular wiring on the media system, and a black primed right fender (where previous owner's friend landed his crotch rocket three days before I was to take possession), it was perfect. I think I got a pretty good deal considering the wheel/tire package alone was going for $2700 at the time.

I got my '00 ES used back in 2002 for $10,500, the loan I took was like 36 months $350 a month, paid it off in 18 months, it was like 17 monthly payments and 1 lump sum (bonus money). Its nice not to have a car payment. So I've been without on for like 3.5 years. I'd definitely say I've gotten my money's worth. Even though there are bunch of things that upset me about the Galant (mitsubishi's lack of attention to detail on simple things like the glove box stands out). Mechanically the car has performed better than I expected. Its now pushing 200k miles and still running like a champ, even just doing the basic maintenance stuff (oil, timing belt, spark plugs).

I bought my '01 Black GTZ March of '03 for $16500 with taxes/tag after my wife found it listed on a local dealership's website.
I had to decide between the used '01 Black GTZ and a new '03 Red GTZ.
The $10K price difference and front grill were what convinced me to buy the
used '01 GTZ (I really like the "waterfall" grill of the '99-'01 Galants.)

The StealthGTZ was a ex-lease car with 19200 miles on the "clock" when I
    bought it.
It's now up to 49900 miles.
I've had no complaints other than the clearcoat/paint defect problem
that cost me $3K to fix after Mitsubishi refused to repaint the car.

Some of you guys got raped... 18g's for a G... You can get a used 06 for that much with taxes and fees.... Check my job's website out at www.MaywoodMitsubishi.com.. We have tons of G's...anywho... I'm pretty sure the Enkei's on my car are worth more than what it looked like when I got it... I bought mine for 2g's... I pretty much stole it... You can see what it looked like when I got it a month ago.. and what it looks like now... Just click on the link below to see it.... BTW it's a 99 LS V6

You did the right thing... Ranger's don't have a resale value at all... we hate taking them in on a trade.. we wholesale them right away...

After my accident in July where my car was totaled, I bought it back from the insurance for about $750. Car was estimated to be worth just under $7,000 So I ended up with around $6,200 which got the car fixed with some stock parts I had laying around and I managed to use the rest of the money on some JDM parts which will be going on in the spring.

When I got the car brand new in '99, after taxes and everything, I paid like $21,000 for it. I got it with 0.9% financing so I only paid like $300 in interest.
