what size is the exhaust piping?

what size is the exhaust piping on my 93 SOHC galant. I need to know, because I'm buying a universal sports muffler. Im thinkin either 2 or 2.25 inches, but I'm not sure... please help me.

Try too measure it yourself. Get under the car and measure ot...

i just did the same thing not to long ago..i belive it is 2.25

a stock DOHC model has a 1 7/8 inches (1 and seven eigths) exhaust...because the SOHC pushes much less power and revs lower i would say it would be 1 3/4 at the most, probably more likely to be 1 5/8 or even 1 1/2 inches!

when i took my car in to get my exhaust looked up they had a big book with stock exhaust sizes for all the cars made...that's how we got the info for my DOHC model and there's no way the SOHC model would be larger or even the same (30kw less power in the SOHC model)...
