    Rims... YES or NO ?

These wheels caught my attention, and I just want to know what the rest of you think about them. These are the Wheelmax wheel line, EXEL, not a very famous brand, but I really like the design. If someone knows of another wheel line that has a very similar style, please let me know also.
So, for a silver 8G, these wheels... YES or NO ?

very nice! but I recomend change the rotors to crossdrilled, paint the calipers, they will show behind these wheels.
    De que estamos hablando?

I would agree those wheels are hot. Get some new calipers that are colored or paint your stock ones with $6 caliper paint from pep boys. Slotted roors that have the zinc finish to them also.

yah i don't think i'd ever buy excel rims. i might buy FROM wheelmax...but i'd never buy their brand. excel = wheelmax line = manufacturers who didn't care if they made unstable velox replicas

Damn, just when I'm about to get some rims, I run across some comments about Wheelmax and their Exel line... Are they that bad ??? If so, can someone recommend some wheels like those ? And where can I get them ? I looked at some Velox, because I really dig the deep polished lip look, but can't find that 5 split spoke look with lugs inbetween... Package is not exactly necessary to me, because most likely I'll get some different tires that fit my driving style and taste. Anyways, I hope ya'll can help me... Please

i'll tell you somethin my friend said when i was looking for the perfect wheels. you gotta pay to play. the wheels i bought in the end were more than i wanted to spend initially...but they were such a good deal i knew i'd hate myself for not buying them for the life of my car. i guess the point i'm trying to make is...don't try to find cheap wheels that look good...find wheels you LOVE and then find them the cheapest you can. you'd be surprised how many people list overstock/unsold wheels on ebay. the ones i bought were normally 1200 from tirerack but i got em for 800 on ebay brand new.

i'll look around for a lil bit if you show me what kind of velox's you like.

The Excel line is always a replica of another manufacture line up. You should be able to find that original wheels manufacture. This is the closest that I have....

the originals are advan model 5's (3 piece). not cheap. but since the real ones are so high end there are lots of reputable replica's of them.

that ain't a bad price on em. 1400 for wheels + tires

Actually, they don't seem to be deep polished lip and don't have those little looking bolts inbetween the spokes... These http://www.wheelmax.com/Wheels/ADR/battlexech.gif seem to be the closest match, but I don't care for chrome wheels... Damn, I have no luck when it comes to picking wheels

sorry that's wrong... ADVAN model 5's are not 3 piece. the EXELs are in fact a knock off of Speed Star Racing (SSR - japan) GT3's. 18x7.5 are about $540.00 each for the SSR's. keep in mind these are pictures of probably the largest size available... 19x11.5 ($740.00 each)

Seems like they do have good prices, but they don't have the GT 3's, the ones I want oh so bad ! These things seem to be hard to find... I guess it'll take me some times to locate them for a relatively decent price. If not, I might have to go with a reg. price somewhere else
