I need to find the car speed signal input

I need to find the car speed signal input. I need to find this wire so I can hook up my navigation system. It comes out of the ECU i think but i am not sure what color the wire is. Anyone who can help please do.
    Thanks

just tap off the speed sensor, attached to the trans.

its a 3 wire setup. One is ground, one should be battery+, and the other should be a 5 volt reference that switches as the car moves. You would want the 5 volt switching voltage.

it's the yellow-black wire from the speed sensor. it's easier to tap from the cruise control ecu somewhere in the back of the radio. it has a 16-pin harness. vss is on pin 10, yellow-black wire.

Ya, I know, old topic back from the dead, but is the ECU pinout the same for all years on the 8G? I did notice some wire color differences in the wires for lights between what was listed on 99-01 vs my 03.

Also, anyone know the which wire for the tach?

And on that note, does anyone have the full ECU pinout diagram?

I was looking there too, but was not sure if 3G Eclipse and 8G pinouts were the same. Thanks.

double check with the galant service manual. chances are, the pinouts aren't the same.

They ARE the same....I installed 2 S-AFCs on 2 dfferent Gs, an 02 and an 01, both based on the 3G ECU pin out.
